Cachoeira do Tobogã: The Natural Rock Slide

This is Paraty's most iconic waterfall. A large, smooth granite rock face creates a natural slide about 20 meters long, ending in a refreshing natural pool. You'll see local 'surfistas de cachoeira' (waterfall surfers) sliding down standing up—we highly recommend you stick to the seated position for your first try! Nearby: Just above Tobogã is the Poço do Tarzan, where a small wooden bridge crosses a narrow gorge, leading to a charming bar built directly into the rocks.

Cachoeira da Pedra Branca

Considered one of the most beautiful in the region, Pedra Branca features two distinct drops and a wide, shallow pool perfect for swimming. It is located on an old farm property and requires a small entry fee, but the well-maintained trails and pristine environment are worth it.
